I FEEL FAT.

Having read many of my friends' posts on Facebook about their own mortifying uniform-shopping experiences, I am slightly more comforted now than when I bought mine a month ago.

At least I don't have to alter my blouse to make it smaller, because size 14 just fits me :D nyehhhh.

The skirt, however, definitely needs to be shorter. Sigh. I can see my holiday week going down the drain in a wave of needles, thread and green cloth.

I love Google.

Have been looking for these two songs for eleven years (yes, you read that correctly) on and off, but was never able to find them.

...Until I thought to Google them, that is.

I first heard them during the SRCS 50th anniversary dinner in 1999, when my dad starred in this dance drama put up for the event about the Bukit Ho Swee fire and how Red Cross stepped in to save casualties etc (I have no idea if this is actually historically accurate, but whatever). He played the part of some tao huay seller who first raised the alarm of fire and then tried to rescue people from the burning houses.

The rest of the drama was part-dance-part-screaming-and-running-and-emoing-because-people-died.

Aaand these were the two songs they (as in, the VIs and my dad) acted/danced to!






Ameno's my personal favourite, because I used to mishear the lyrics as "doraemon" during the rehearsals. (I was five. Five-year-olds tend to have fairly limited vocabularies.)

Vic came today! Yay I love my friends :D

I paid dearly for my set lunch at RamenPlay, though. Not just in cash, but also in the consequences afterward for my poor stomach :/ didn't expect to get mild food poisoning. Bleh. Wonder what caused it - couldn't have been the hot ramen, so it was probably either the ice lemon tea or black fungus.

Sigh. Why did I even bother tipping -.- (okay fine it was just the 25 cents I got in change, but still! The food was unclean!)

Yay Rachel and Shiyuan came to visit today :D THANKS GUYS YOU SAVED ME FROM EATING IN THE STAFF CANTEEN.

Must persevere! My brain doesn't get any exercise during work, so I force myself to mentally calculate how much I've earned so far during my stint at the end of each day.
