SIEW KUM HONG WASN'T RE-NOMINATED FOR NMP.

He's a RosythGEPer!!! How can a RosythGEPer lose to a random national swimmer?! It's Not Natural, I tell you. He was the one responsible for bringing 377A back to Parliament! And for defending Aware from the New (now Old) Guard!

And he's bald! Nearly all bald people are awesome. Look at Mr Grosse! Or Mr Wo - okay maybe not, but STILL.

--

Ohdear I'm dead for piano. Like, seriously. I shall just go in there, fail and retake in March. Sigh.

--

I've been getting gastric pains lately, and I think it's because of the whole mealtime-rescheduling-due-to-start-of-term thing. Sucks. My stomach acids keep dissolving the stomach lining, and it hurts like crazy. Had to skip out on PE today because of it, sigh. AND THEY WERE PLAYING FRISBEE. FRISBEE!!! Why do I never get sick during the boring PE lessons?

At least the new foodcourt next door's finally open, and the food is awesome. There're advantages to being young sometimes. I was queueing at Yu Kee when the guy asked for my order, and the conversation went like this:

Me: "鸭饭一包,谢谢。 多一点饭hor!" (Routine. If I don't ask for more rice people will give me, like, 1 tiny scoop and leave it at that.)

Guy: "可以。加三毛,要多少饭都行!:D"

Me: *sad expression*

Guy: "Aiya okay la okay la!"

I open the packet later to find twice the usual amount of rice. HAH. Adults give in to you when you're a kid. Nyeh nyeh nyeh.

Oh but it's totally annoying when people don't listen to you because you're a kid. Like when I was arguing over 377A with my mum, and she accused me of being from the younger, "corrupted" generation because I said that she was being illogical for saying that hetrosexuality is the only 'natural' state to be in (ie. homosexuality is unnatural and forbidden by...the Creator. Never knew she was a Creationist. She's a freethinker like me!)

Then I pointed out that animals in natural habitats engage in same-sex copulation, too. She told me to go to bed and stop thinking about all that stuff. -.-

And the adults are always slamming our generation on the Forum page in ST, accusing us of being flippant and self-centred and dunnowhatelse. It's so lame la. Vic mentioned that this guy writes in to the Straits Times daily to complain that the young people at job agencies can't empathise with middle-aged people looking for jobs, but apparently never thought about the fact that if he GETS OFF HIS BUTT AND STARTS DOING SOMETHING TO UPGRADE HIMSELF/GO FOR MORE INTERVIEWS he'd get a job faster than if he sits around writing letters to the Forum editor.

Pfft. My dad got retrenched a few years ago and had no qualifications other than his 'O' level cert and floor trader license (which couldn't be used anymore anyway), but HE didn't sit around for 9 months moaning about how the rest of the world didn't want to help him get a job. He found a temporary 9-to-5 job to work at while thinking about what to do next, ultimately decided that his passion lay in bossing people around, and got himself a subsidised place in a tourism course. Now he's working as a tour guide, which is infinitely better than sitting around whining about life to half a million people who AREN'T EVEN INTERESTED.

THIS is what people do when they're stuck in a rut - they dig themselves out.
