My mum tells me often that I must learn to cook and clean, because no matter how rich I am or how many maids I employ to clean my future gigantic house, for every cabinet the maid polishes, I must be able to make it sparkle; for every too-salty soup she brews, I must make the blend of tastes perfect.
In other words, if I am to expect her to do it well, I must do it better than her. It's one of the simple axioms of life.
